Nortex Regional Planning Commission is the sub grantee for the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP).  The purpose of the program is to transform homeless assistance to be more effective and efficient, shifting the focus from providing shelter to preventing homelessness and quickly re-housing people who do become homeless.  Nortex provides comprehensive HPRP services to all eligible participants, including families, individuals and youth.  Services may include financial assistance, housing location, housing stabilization services and legal services.  Nortex utilizes a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to provide a single access point, for assistance, to avoid duplication of services.
