NRPC provides an array of regional services to support local
jurisdictions. NRPC will help local governments prepare and administer
grants, such as Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Texas Capital
Fund, Park and Recreation, etc. Under regional services is the
implementation of a regional solid waste program that maintains a Regional
Solid Waste Management Plan and Closed landfill Inventory (CLI) for this
region as well as supporting local solid waste programs consistent wit the
plan. Technical assistance concerning compliance with the federal and
state guidelines regarding solid waste disposal is provided to local
governments.
