Nortex’s 9-1-1 Department provides enhanced 9-1-1 services to a nine-county region, which includes the following counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague and Young. The 9-1-1 program provides and maintains equipment to ensure delivery of 9-1-1 calls to the proper answering point. We also provide dispatcher training. We have items that are distributed to the public during 9-1-1 educational events at schools that will teach people how and when to call 9-1-1. Information is available in both English and Spanish.

We work with the Counties 9-1-1 in the region, local telephone companies, and wireless companies to ensure every 9-1-1 call is received and managed efficiently at the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
